I don’t understand French, but if I could, I would write beautiful songs about horrible things because it is said to be the language of love and romance.  And if love didn’t exist, there wouldn’t be any horrible things.  You must care to cry, love something in order to hate something.

You must have a heart in order for it to be broken.

Killer whales killing people.

  • Me: killer whales killing people!
  • Mom: I saw!
  • Me: 3 people specifically
  • Mom: he should be sushi.

McDonald's Rant

  • Me: This is the third time in a row mcdonalds has fucked up and given me unsweet tea. Were in the south, not a third world country where grammar is irrelavant. "a sweet tea" DOES NOT equal unsweet tea you uneducated fucks.
  • Adam: Haha that's what you get for going to McDonalds
  • Me: Their sweet tea is so good though!
  • Adam: How's their unsweetened?!
  • Me: It's not bad but that's besides the point

Banned Books.

According to Wikipedia (yes I get that it’s completely unreliable) The Diary of Anne Frank by Anne Frank, and The Da Vinci Code written by Dan Brown are both banned in Lebanon. The reasoning for Frank being banned is, “portray[ing] Jews, Israel or Zionism favorably.” Brown was banned after Catholic leaders deemed his writings offensive to Christianity.

Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell was banned by the Soviet Union in 1950, as Stalin understood that it was a satire based on his leadership.  It was nearly banned in the United States and United Kingdom in the early 1960’s during the Curban Missile Crisis.  It was not until 1990 that the USSR legalized the book and it was re-released after some editing.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was banned in the province of Hunan, China for portraying anthropomorphism animals acting on the same level as humans.

This is ridiculous.

Boston Public Library's 100 Most Influential Books of the Century

this list is so absurd, it amazes me. how can these books possibly be influential?! some yes, absolutely deserve to be on the list. others though, not a chance.
